More than a railway station
London Bridge is one of London's oldest stations, rebuilt in recent years with a huge street-level concourse. Thameslink trains run north to Bedford and Cambridge and south to Gatwick and Brighton. Southern and Southeastern trains serve south London, Sussex and Kent.
But many of our London Bridge bookings are not for trains at all. The station sits next to Guy's Hospital, a short walk from The Shard and Borough Market, and right across the river from the City of London.
Hospital appointments
If you have an appointment at Guy's or St Thomas', public transport can be stressful, especially if you are unwell, recovering or travelling with someone who needs support. A car from your door to the hospital entrance is calmer. Book a return as well; if you are not sure when you will be finished, call 020 3642 6159 when you are ready and we will arrange collection.
For hospital trips, give us the hospital wing or entrance name when you book. Large hospital sites have several entrances, and it saves walking.
Meetings in the City
London Bridge is a short walk over the river to the City, so it is a handy drop-off point for meetings in the Bank and Monument area. Ask for an executive car if you would like a quieter space to prepare on the way, and request an email receipt for your expense claim.
The route
The car usually takes the A3 to Wandsworth and then heads east through Battersea and Kennington, approaching London Bridge from the south. This part of central London is inside the Congestion Charge zone. Ask when booking whether it is included.
| Time of day | Typical journey |

Days out at Borough Market and The Shard
Borough Market is one of London's best-known food markets, and The Shard's viewing gallery is a popular treat. A group of friends can share the 7 seater MPV for the day and split one fixed fare.
Coming home
Give us your train or appointment time and we will collect you from a nearby meeting point. Our line is open around the clock.
Related journeys
For flights from east London, our London City Airport taxi is a short hop further on. Charing Cross and Waterloo are both close by. Thameslink trains from London Bridge go to Gatwick, but our direct Gatwick airport taxi avoids the trip into town. We pick up across the area, including Mitcham and Sutton.
